Microsuction is the gold standard of earwax removal. It involves carefully inserting a probe into your ear using a magnified camera and gently suctioning the wax out (like a miniature vacuum!). It is a painless procedure and no water enters the ear, meaning there are many advantages when compared to traditional irrigation.

Sometimes it is neccessary to use a small instrument such as a Jobson Horne (miniature ‘spoon’) or some crocodile forceps to gently grip the wax and pull it out of the ear.
